The brand has teamed up with specialist Black Star to offer tyres that are 100% made in France and made from 80% recycled materials. During the first test phase, these tyres will be available in 24 Norauto centres in the Paris region and on the norauto.fr website. The aim is to continue to act in terms of sustainable development and meet the growing aspirations of consumers and motorists for products from the circular economy. New solutions that are part of the DNA of Norauto, a pioneer in sustainable development in its sector and a Responsible Brand since 2018. Thanks to this new partnership, the leader in car maintenance is also expanding its ecosystem of leading partners and specialists, and its platform of solutions for new uses of the road.
1 RECONDITIONED TYRE = 35KG OF CO2 SAVED
These tyres, manufactured in France by Black Star, a company created in 1979, are the reflection of a real local know-how. 100% from the circular economy, they are made of 80% recycled materials and save 60% of oil requirements and 35KG of CO2 each. Technically, they are tyres whose carcass is still healthy and has retained its potential. The tread and sidewalls are completely replaced to give them a new life. Reconditioned tyres are subject to the same European regulations as new tyres. Black Star thus guarantees safety, quality and driving comfort to all users of these reconditioned tyres.

INNOVATION AND REMANUFACTURING MARKET
Tyres represent one of the most important waste products, which can take up to 400 years to degrade, and 250,000 tonnes have been recycled since 2004. Norauto has continued to make progress in the environmental management of its centres and has set up 21 waste recycling channels. Today, all the centres recycle user products resulting from the car maintenance activity. 90% of Norauto’s branches are ISO 14 001 certified, making it the only company in its sector with such a far-reaching environmental certification process.
