Norauto, official partner of the 2019 edition of the 4L TROPHY

For the second consecutive year, Norauto is the official partner of the 21st edition of the 4L Trophy, the largest student car raid in Europe.

Vintage mechanics, extreme conditions and iconic cars: Norauto is taking on 10 mechanics who are experts in the 4L Trophy adventure

From February 21 to March 3, 2019, 1,500 crews and 3,000 students will travel the 6,000 km between Biarritz and Marrakech in their 4L.

How to repair these mythical cars in the middle of the desert? How to maintain their vintage mechanics in extreme conditions and without 2.0 equipment? 10 expert mechanics are ready to take up the challenge in the heart of a unique adventure combining solidarity, fun, adaptability and stunning landscapes. A real challenge for Norauto experts who wish to surpass themselves and a great opportunity to highlight the know-how of mechanics and the automotive service professions to millenniums.

NORAUTO’S COMMITMENT TO CHANGING THE WAY WE LOOK AT MECHANICAL TRADES.

As an essential component of the system, the selected mechanics are called upon to provide new services, developing their sense of reactivity and their skills: changing an engine in the middle of the night, dust, failures to be treated by -2°C,….

Through this partnership, Norauto also wants to change the way people look at the maintenance professions and bring to life the passion for the automobile. This operation is part of the strengthening of Norauto’s employer brand, whose ambition is to recruit 3,000 new talents in 3 years, 90% of them for the network.

In addition to the mechanical aspect, Norauto centres are also invited, if they so wish, to sponsor crews.

THE NORAUTO FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE HUMANITARIAN APPROACH OF THE 4L TROPHY
Norauto is also part of the humanitarian approach of this event, which works to promote the education of children in Morocco. The Norauto Foundation supports Les Enfants du Désert, the official association partner of the 4L Trophy since 2005, through a national solidarity operation. From January 9 to February 10, for any purchase of an Electrically Assisted Bicycle in the Norauto centre, the Foundation donates €10 to the association to finance bicycles so that children can go to school.

BEHIND THE SCENES: NORAUTO OFFERS AN AUTUMN COURSE FOR PARTICIPANTS IN THE 4L TROPHY 2019

On December 1, 2018, Norauto will provide free advice and tips for 4L Trophy participants in more than 80 centres. The check-ups to be carried out, the equipment not to be forgotten and the techniques of experts to clean the carburettor, change the platinised screws, drain the oil or blow the air filter… so many useful reflexes and good gestures that the 1,500 crews are invited to master to face the 6,000 km of adventure that await them!
